Image Analysis Explorer Pro

Download here (720K).

Image Analysis Explorer Pro is the next in line of image analysis programs I've written. It succeeds all the previous attempts (ED256, Image Analysis Explorer).

IaePro is designed to be a useful program first and a development tool second. IaePro uses Microsoft's Vision SDK which must be downloaded separately if you wish to compile and/or extend IaePro. The zip file obviously includes the binaries for those without a compiler. IaePro has a lot of new features, including:

  • A huge speed increase over Iae, mainly due to the VisSDK.
  • Can open *.jpg, *.bmp and *.gif files.
  • Allows multiple files to be opened.
  • Supports region-of-interest.
  • Filters include:
    • Greyscale, colour inversion, RGB rotation.
    • Mean, sharpen and gaussian convolutions.
    • Median, maximum, minimum and custom rank filters.
    • Sobel Edge Detection.
    • Impulse Noise.
    • Interactive binary thresholding, threshold matrix dithering and Floyd-Steinberg dithering.
    • Fast-fourier Transform.
  • RGBL Histogram and image statistics.
  • Saves to *.bmp files. (Saved BMPs only supported by some applications)

To compile IaePro, you will need Microsoft's Vision SDK, this is available here. Make sure you check todo.txt and readme.txt for more information.
